Description
The 3500/45 Position Monitor is a four-channel module designed to accept input from:
- Proximity Transducers
- Rotary Position Transducers (RPTs)
- DC Linear Variable Differential Transformers (DC LVDTs)
- AC Linear Variable Differential Transformers (AC LVDTs)
- Rotary Potentiometers
The monitor conditions the input signals and compares them against user-programmable alarm setpoints to ensure optimal machinery performance and safety.
Outputs
Front Panel LEDs
- OK LED: Illuminates when the monitor is functioning correctly.
- TX/RX LED: Flashes during communication with other modules in the 3500 rack.
- Bypass LED: Indicates the monitor is in bypass mode.
Firmware and Software Requirements
To integrate the 3500/45 Position Monitor into an existing 3500 system, the following firmware and software versions are required:
- 3500/20 RIM Firmware: Rev. G or later
- 3500 Configuration Software: Version 2.41 or later
- 3500 Data Acquisition: Version 2.20 or later
- 3500 Operator Display: Version 1.20 or later
- 3500/93 Display Interface Module (135799-01): Firmware Rev. G or later
- For Valve Position (using RPT): Configuration Software Version 3.00 or greater
