Series: 3500/22M
Model/Part Number: 138607-01
Model Type: Transient Data Interface (TDI) Module
Description
The 3500/22M Transient Data Interface (TDI) serves as the interface between the 3500 monitoring system and GE’s System 1 machinery management software. The TDI combines the functionality of the 3500/20 Rack Interface Module (RIM) with the advanced data collection capabilities of a communication processor, such as TDXnet.
Key Features:
- Operates in the RIM slot of a 3500 rack in conjunction with M-series monitors (e.g., 3500/40M, 3500/42M).
- Captures both steady-state and transient waveform data, transferring this data to host software via Ethernet.
- Supports static data capture as standard, with the option to capture dynamic/transient data using a Channel Enabling Disk.
- Performs critical monitor channel comparison in Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) configurations.
- Enhances communication processor functionality within the 3500 rack.
The TDI is not part of the critical monitoring path and does not impact the normal operation of the monitoring system. It is mandatory for every 3500 rack and occupies Slot 1, adjacent to the power supplies.
For TMR applications, the TMR TDI version performs monitor voting by comparing outputs from three redundant monitors and flags any monitor that provides inconsistent data.
Physical Specifications
- Dimensions: Standard half-height module
- Rack Position: Always occupies Slot 1
Ordering Information
