Leveraging AI for Energy Optimization

The initiative will harness Honeywell Forge, an advanced IoT-based predictive maintenance and energy management platform, to provide building operators with real-time insights into energy usage, optimization, and predictive analytics. This will empower decision-makers to enhance efficiency, reduce operational costs, and lower their environmental impact.

Supporting Singapore’s Green Plan 2030

With buildings contributing over 20% of Singapore’s carbon emissions, according to the Building and Construction Authority, the Center will play a crucial role in supporting Singapore’s Green Plan 2030 and its goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.

Advancing Sustainable Building Technologies

Expected to commence operations in 2025, the Center of Excellence will focus on AI-driven building automation solutions across sectors such as healthcare, data centers, and education through pilot programs in Singapore.

"Buildings represent a significant opportunity for carbon reduction, particularly when owners can effectively monitor and optimize energy use," said Nigel Brockett, President of Asia Pacific, Honeywell. "By integrating AI-based technologies, building managers can leverage real-time data and automation to curb emissions in alignment with Singapore’s carbon-reduction goals."

Expanding Innovation Beyond Singapore

By 2026, the Center plans to extend its solutions to other Southeast Asian nations, tailoring AI-driven sustainable building strategies to regional goals.

"Given Singapore’s focus on environmental sustainability and innovation, the Center of Excellence will drive impactful solutions for the built environment across the region," noted Lim Tse Yong, Senior Vice President, EDB.

A Step Toward a Sustainable Future

Honeywell’s partnership with EDB reinforces its commitment to global automation, energy transition, and sustainability megatrends. With AI-powered solutions, the company aims to accelerate decarbonization efforts, making buildings more efficient, intelligent, and environmentally friendly.
