ABB India has expanded its low voltage flameproof motor range, delivering increased safety, durability, and energy efficiency for industries operating in hazardous environments. These Made-in-India motors are designed for Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, and Food & Beverage sectors, where safety and reliability are paramount. They comply with PESO (Petroleum and Explosive Safety Organization) certification and meet global industry standards.
Advanced Features for Maximum Protection
The new flameproof motors offer power ratings from 37kW to 500kW and are available in frame sizes 280-355. They are certified for use in gas groups IIA, IIB, and IIC and feature a pressure-tested enclosure that withstands high pressure, preventing flame propagation in case of internal explosions. These motors can operate in extreme temperatures ranging from -20°C to +60°C, making them ideal for demanding industrial conditions.
Energy Efficiency at the Core
ABB’s new motors meet IE2, IE3, and IE4 efficiency standards, ensuring optimal performance and reduced energy consumption. Many industrial applications operate at partial loads, and these motors maintain high efficiency at 75% load, reducing operational costs over time. When paired with variable frequency drives (VFDs), they provide significant energy savings for variable torque applications.
